This app is just a shortcut ! Open the Finder and select the menu "Go" ; Connect to Server and just type vnc://hostname and you have exactly the same thing ! Well done

Useless

This app is not a VNC client, it is a shortcut to the mac OS X vnc client.

Works!

It does work. I just have to configure you other computer to accept VNC connections. Very nice software.

Does not work

It does not work. Asks for authentication on non-authenticated VNC servers.

Exactly what I was looking for

As advertised : No playing. No paying. No tricky features. It just works! :D I just tried other free alternatives and this one is the best!

Typical poorly written program. There are no instructions and no options. The about page claims that the "human interface design" was by the same person as the programmer - figures. If you need *any* customizability at all, like connecting to a remote machine with a username different that the one on your local machine, then this is useless.

Works great!, installed it, started it and I was working in seconds. It could use a method of storing remote hosts, similar to CoRD. Well done, thanks.

This does pretty much what Command-K does in the Finder except less. Actually if you open Screen Sharing.app and do a File > New you get the same thing. This is just another redundant application thats not necessary in the quality Mac world.

I wish apple included a nice simple little remote desktop client like this with OSX. Charging $79 for the client is rediculous for a home user. If you want to remote control your computer grab this app.

Are you kidding?

This just uses the free build in VNC client in Mac OS X. Just go to Finder > Go > Connect to Server… and enter vnc://yoururl

lupinglade v1.1 · 13 years ago

This is nothing but a wrapper for the screen sharing app included in the OS

This means you don’t need this, open finder hit command+K it’s the same thing.

Just a screen-sharing bridge

Seems this is just a launcher of built-in screen-shranig. When I open with vac:// url, the built-in screen-sharing has been raised.

It works how it should, and thats why I give it 5 stars! But - iSolute should put in description how to make it to work. You have to set in system preferences —> sharing —> remote control(enable) and on the top of window you’ll have your local address of computer you want to join, simply write it in mac you want to have control with and youre done. And iSolute, please change the icon, its fugly;)

I was trying to find an EASY way to remote connect between my home (Linux) and work (MacBook) Easier than the built in screen share app in Mac. Just pre-authorized VNC on my Linux input the IP address on the Mac and BAM. Done and done. Fast connection, too. Love it.
